Washington Wizards

With national monuments and marble statues as a backdrop, the Washington Wizards cast a spell on Washington, D.C. basketball fans both inside and outside the Beltway. Originating in Chicago in 1961, the organization has been called the Packers, the Zephyrs, and the Bullets before finally settling on the Wizards in 1997. The team has one NBA championship coming in 1978 and its high-flying mascot 'G-man' thrills fans at every home game.
