This exciting franchise started in Louisiana as the New Orleans Jazz to reflect the city's unique musical tradition. After five seasons of play, the team moved north to Salt Lake City, Utah. Once set in 'The Beehive State,' Hall of Famer forward Karl Malone helped lead the team to the championship twice. Known for stout defense and frenetic scoring, the Jazz have won a division in three different decades.
