Oklahoma City Thunder

In 2005, the New Orleans Hornets were forced to temporarily relocate to Oklahoma City after Hurricane Katrina. Because the OKC fans were such warm hosts and good basketball fans, the NBA rewarded the city with the Seattle franchise in 2008. Because of this legacy, the Oklahoma City Thunder still play in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference. The team won its first division title as Oklahoma City in 2011.
